At MCU, we believe that service is at the heart of midwifery. This February 11-14th, we invite our community to embrace community service and participate in Service Week!

Service Week isn’t just about volunteering-it’s about strengthening our connections, supporting each other, and making a tangible difference in our communities. Whether you’re a student, faculty member, or staff, there are multiple ways to participate:

Tuesday: Essay Contest “Why is Midwifery a SERVICE to the world”
Share your perspective on “Why Midwifery is a Service to the World” and you could win a $50 Amazon Gift card AND your words could inspire others and remind us all why we chose this sacred path of service.

Wednesday: “Let’s Keep Our Land Clean”
Be a part of our clean and green initiative and take part in our environmental stewardship campaign by cleaning an outdoor space in your community. Share your before-and-after photos with the hashtag #MCUMidwivesServe to inspire others and show our collective impact across the country

Thursday: “Be of Service and UPLIFT a peer”
Practice random acts of kindness by sending an encouraging message to a fellow student, faculty, or staff member. Sometimes the smallest gestures create the biggest ripples of positive change. As distance learners, we may be geographically separated, but Service Week brings us together in purpose and in spirit. Your participation, no matter how small, contributes to our shared mission of transforming birth through midwifery education.

Friday: Announcement of the Essay Contest Winner
Tune in on Friday for the Essay Contest winner announcement
