We are thrilled to announce a new era for “MCU in Review“! Just as midwives constantly evaluate and adapt their processes and procedures to provide the best possible care, we are continually examining our own practices to determine what needs to be adjusted. After careful consideration, we’ve decided one area ready for evolution is MCU in Review. The Marketing & Strategic Communication Team has spent the past few months completely overhauling MCU in Review, and we are excited to share the outcome with you today.
What’s New?
Our new format infuses the college’s institutional goals throughout the publication, highlighting our commitment and progress towards providing an educational structure and an integrated learning environment for individuals to become midwives of technical expertise, professional excellence, and personal greatness – namely Midwives of Excellence. Here are some of the changes and new features we have incorporated.
- More frequent publications: Issues of MCU in Review will now be released each trimester, with the primary focus of the publication being the events of the previous trimester.
- Department overviews: Each issue will start with updates and important reminders from relevant departments in the college.
- Staff & Faculty updates: Say hello to new members of the team, wish the best to those who are parting ways, and celebrate the transitions happening within MCU.
- Department feature: In each issue of MCU in Review, we will introduce a new department and highlight some of the important work the team does for the college.
- Graduate announcements: Celebrate all of the amazing new midwives who graduated the previous term.
- And, as always, get updates on the ways students, alumni, faculty, and staff are achieving technical, professional, and personal greatness.
In our latest edition, we take an in-depth look at the new Alumni Association, get updates on tuition and fees increases, discuss the future of conference and skill suites, and investigate how tuition dollars are being spent. We also take time to celebrate an alumna who was published in MIDIRS Midwifery Digest, another alumna who received a regional award, and the exciting graduation of TWELVE new Bachelor of Science in Midwifery students.
Don’t miss our special feature on the Marketing & Strategic Communication Team. You’ll never guess who is still holding onto all of their prom and homecoming dresses from high school.
